The J.K. Irving Multifunctional Centre project is a 20$ Million dollar facility. This state of the art Centre will provide numerous benefits to all residents young and old. The number one benefit is the impact this centre has on improving the quality of life of its residents.
Because of its many potential uses, the centre has become an anchor location for the region. Being environment friendly is a number one priority for the municipality. This new centre uses geothermal power.
The facility features: NHL- size ice surface with seating of 1 100, 200 meter walking track, gym and health facilities, 3000+ square foot of meeting space and congress centre, 17 000 square foot space for tradeshows or other events and state of the art acoustics for concerts and theatrical productions.
A new Town Hall is integrated in the J.K. Irving Centre. The employees enjoy their new modern offices while having access to the other facilities of the centre like the walking track and the fitness fentre. The new Town Hall meeting room can accommodate approximately 100 people. The Kent-South Chamber of Commerce, the Minor Hockey Council and Lames d’Argent all have offices in the new modern building.
